Designed for producers of high-end waterproofing and breathable membranes, Colback provides durability, strength and stability.
Colback nonwovens are made with bi-component filaments with a polyester core and a specific polymer skin. We tailor the filaments’ polymer skin and core/skin ratio to meet your specific needs.
Our bi-component design creates a set of unique properties. Most importantly, there’s no need for chemical bonding, so Colback is free from formaldehyde. Instead, we thermally bond the filaments’ skins, forming countless connections to give the material its unrivalled performance.
Colback technology also means we can add ingredients to meet specific demands – for example, glass scrim and fleeces can reinforce a membrane or increase fire resistance.
Colback nonwovens are uniform and have excellent mass evenness. So, as well as complying with building code requirements, they also make processing easy and improve operational efficiency.
Working closely with our customers and industry partners, we are constantly developing new variants and applications. Our Development and Application Center in Arnhem (the Netherlands) and development laboratory in Asheville (North Carolina, USA) have the latest high-tech facilities.
